As the days get shorter and the nights get cooler, we all recognize that fall is upon us. The pool is closed and the swing set sits idle as the kids are back in school as they continue their studies. With this change we all realize that our season is winding down here at the Powder House Lodge and Restaurant as well. This year, our final day of operations will be Saturday October 10, 2015.
You may have ‘herd’ that the Annual Buffalo Roundup is this week, September 24, 25 and 26, 2015 in Custer State Park. This yearly event is an amazing way to round out your South Dakota summer. Watch cowboys and cowgirls as they roundup and drive the 1,300 plus herd across the sweeping vistas of Custer State Park.
Summer is always a bustling time in Keystone, and even though the season is winding down, the town is gearing up for its annual celebration of Holy Terror Days on September 12 and 13th!
With summer vacation coming to a close and many students back in school, Labor Day weekend serves for most as the last hurrah of summer, acting as a small buffer between the first few days of school and the rest of the academic year.
