Local Markets and Festivals
For those who appreciate local produce and artisan goods, the Black Hills Farmers Market is a must-see. Open year-round, the market is open each Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. from November through April. In the warmer months, from May through October, the market is open on Wednesdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The market is a perfect place to connect with local producers, purchase fresh goods, and enjoy the lively atmosphere. Dogs are welcome, provided they are leashed and well-behaved. The mission of the Black Hills Farmers Market is to build connections between producers and consumers to benefit the local community.

Cultural and Historical Experiences
Visiting the Black Hills in spring offers the opportunity to delve into its rich cultural and historical heritage. One of the most iconic landmarks in the region is the Mount Rushmore National Memorial. This colossal sculpture features the faces of four American presidents carved into the granite mountainside. Stroll along the Presidential Trail for different vantage points of the stunning monument and learn about the historical significance of the figures immortalized there.
Additionally, the Crazy Horse Memorial offers visitors the chance to learn about Native American culture and the ongoing mountain carving project honoring the Lakota warrior, Crazy Horse.
